HS Sandhu and HC Bora advanced to the second round of the TAEGA Cambay Golf tournament in Gandhinagar on Sunday.

Sandhu beat Anand Dave with three holes to spare. Sandhu finished with a handicap of 12 while his opponent had a handicap of 18.

Meanwhile, HC Bora thwarted the challenge of Sachin Jain to finish with three-up with two holes to go. Bora’s handicap was 14 while Sachin had a handicap of 20.

The tournament features more than a 100 golfers and will run for five weeks. The unique nature of the tournament sees each golfer taking on another in each round and the winner advancing to the next round.

Others to advance into the second round are Ankur Patel and Manoj Agarwal. Ankur impressed the most, with a handicap of just 10. Agarwal, with a handicap of 14, beat Tejas Amin.
